When Matt from No Meat Athlete asked me to write a guest entry for his blog… I was truely flattered. I am a huge fan of his site and quickly jumped at the opportunity! The real shocker though was that he didn’t want me to write about running, but eating!
In my conversations with Matt, it came up that I am an aspiring fruitarian. Matt was intriged and wanted me to write a “primer” on fruitarianism.
Here’s a quick excerpt from the article:
“Upon hearing about the “fruitarian” movement, this was my reaction. I mean… eating 30 bananas a day! Is that healthy? Is that safe? Would I ever be able to poop again!?
After the initial shock wore off I became intrigued. I had questions… lots of questions. So I dove in and learned everything I could about fruitarianism. Here’s what I found out.”

While I am not a strict fruitarian (yet), I am slowly working more and more fruits into my diet until I am eating not much else.
Now back to my bananas…

Check out the paleo diet! It’s a really need concept backed up with a lot of logic. You might find it interesting
(Just google or youtube it)
I am familiar with the paleo / caveman diet and agree its a logical and healthy lifestyle. My only thing, is that being vegetarian, the lean meats and fish are out. So take away the nuts and you basically have a fruitarian diet
